Desktop VAIO from Sony
Sony has released VAIO PCV-M350 series, the desktop version of the popular slim PC VAIO, with the wireless keyboard. Display sizes are 17 inch for MV-M350V, 15 inch for M350V5 and 13.3 inch for M350L3. All models come with 350MHz of AMD-K6(R)-2 processor, 6.4GB of HDD, 64MB of RAM, 24x CD-ROM drive, 4MB of SGRAM, 56Kbps modem, graphic accelerator ATI 3D RAGETMPRO Turbo AGP (2x), and optical digital audio output which can be used for MD editing. Hard disk is contained in a noise absorbant box to eliminate excess noise. Preinstalled software includes MD Editor (VAIO), Digital Media Park Ver1.3, and 3D games. Retail prices are open.

Slim NotePC from Casio
Casio Computer has released Cassiopeia Fiva MPC-101M32, an A5-sized slim notePC weighing only 840g and its folded width being only one inch. It comes with a 200MHz Cyrix MediaGXTM processor, a 32MB RAM, expandable to 96MB, 3.2GB of HDD, and a 56Kbps modem. Windows 98 is preinstalled, along with a few other software. Retail price is open.

Windows 98 Presario Series
Compaq has released the new line of Presario PC series. Business models are Presario 1235/1805 laptops come with a 266MHz Pentium II processor, 32GB of HDD, a 64MB SDRAM, and a 24x CD-ROM drive. Also in the series are Presario 2262/2260/2274/2270, and microtower PCs Presario 5150/5160/5180, all with Windows 98. All models come with a 56Kbps modem, LAN function, Microsoft Excel, Word or Ichitaro Lite, All prices are open.

Lexmark Color
Lexmark has released Optra Color 1200, an A3 full color page printer for networking environment. It is capable of printing 12ppm (paper per minute) of A4 sheets in both black and white, and color. It comes with 32MB of RAM, expandable to 128MB. Supports PostScript Level 2, and runs on Windows 95 and 98, NT4.0, Sun Solaris 2.x, and MacOS. Retail price is ¥890,000.

Selective Web Display from Fujitsu
Fujitsu has released InfoArk EZ-Pack, automatic HTML coding software. Depending on who accesses the site, the program displays different contents tailored to the user's status. Up until now, multiple pages had to be created for one URL if the contents were to be user-specific,
or scripts had to be written to control displayed articles. The created Webpages can be controlled with usual browsers like Explorer and Netscape. Retail price is ¥700,000 per server for Solaris, and ¥500,000 per server for Windows NT.
