Regular readers of this newsletter may notice that we've been spending a lot of time talking about KDDI lately. This is mainly because they've been the ones setting the pace over the past few years in terms of mobile music innovation. The carrier is also giving NTT DoCoMo a serious run for its money in the 3G space and has emerged as the only real threat to DoCoMo's dominance of Japan's wireless market.
