Marcus Chidgey was an Assistant Language Teacher on the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program between July 2000 and 2001. He taught at two senior high schools in Kurashiki City. He currently resides in London, where he is the CEO of Captive Minds (www.captiveminds.co.uk), a marketing agency that specializes in promoting film and television productions.
Richard Donovan, originally from New Zealand, has lived in the Kansai area for six years. He teaches Global Issues and Film Studies at Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto and lives in a tatami-mat house with broadband access. His interests include Japanese onomatopoeia and extolling the virtues of New Zealand. He also writes for Kansai Time Out magazine and the JapanVisitor.com Web site.
Tony Mcnicol is a Tokyo-based freelance writer and photographer. He has worked for a tools manufacturer in Aichi prefecture and in the Japanese Diet. Since turning to journalism he has worked at the London bureau of the Sankei Shimbun. He now writes for the Japan Times and other publications pertaining to Japan.
