For
space reasons we couldn't list all the URLs, but if you want to get an idea
of what a typical i-mode site looks like, try www.ohnew.co.jp/i/s/index.html.
Checking this site out via your computer's browser shouldn't be a problem
because all i-mode sites use compact HTML, which isn't much different than
regular HTML. You'll have problems, though, with WAP sites, which are done
in Handheld Device Markup Language. HDML isn't compatible with standard
browsers. Note that some small-screen sites are compatible with i-mode,
some with EZweb/EZaccess, some with J-Skyweb sites, and some with @contents
(click to see Another sidebar for more on the services). A few are compatible
with all, which means some poor webmaster has to create sites for each type
of service and update them all separately too. And you thought HTML sucked! |
